Superior in every way to the restaurant across the street. Charming, casual, very bright interior with a lovely courtyard for al fresco dining. Nice, fresh menu items in nice portions which are far more manageable (and less heavy) than the Old Mill. The catfish fillets here are much better prepared than at the Old Mill -- and you still get the same amount for a lower price (but not all the other sides like at the Old Mill). It's also much less frantic than the Old Mill -- not quite as noisy and without the wait staff rushing around at top speed. Very highly recommended for the area, and best of all -- there is usually only a nominal wait.

Good quality food and a great outdoor seating atmosphere. My wife had a quality spinach quiche and her peach lemonade was great. My angus burger was decent and the fries were good too. My one daughter had awesome Mac and cheese and both got a fruit cup that was high quality and a decent portion.

Very good food, lovely service, drinkable wine. Great find in an area filled with chain restaurants and tourist traps.

Very good menu--probably the most upscale in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. Across the street from the more touristy Old Mill. Be sure to try the fried green tomatoes!

We arrived at the peak dinner hour and had about a 15 minute wait. The staff was very friendly and service was very good considering the number of people in the restaurant. Our party had the popcorn crusted catfish and the 7 oz rib eye. The catfish was crispy without a greasy taste. The Cold slaw was excellent. I ordered the rib eye medium rare and it was slightly undercooked. A surprise since this place advertises "the best steak" in town. If you go, be sure to save room for the home baked pie.

Food is delicious and ambience is wonderful! We came here from the overcrowded Old Mill restaurant across the street. We were sat immediately on the beautiful patio--by choice. Waiters were attentive and everything we had was big on taste and good to our wallets. The prices are lower than the mills across the street. Am glad we tried this out... A definite must do!

This is my favorite restaurant in all of Sevier County. The building and furnishings are beautiful. Outdoor dining there is really nice. Everything I have ordered there has turned out to be great. My mom gets the quiche every time. My favorite is the open faced roast beef. It's on sourdough with gravy, mashed potatoes and cinnamon apples. It's actually my favorite roast beef anywhere. Shhhh...don't tell my grandma. Their salads are fresh and delicious too. Last time I was there I got a slice of carrot cake to go that was not only big enough for 3 people but also the best carrot cake I've ever eaten.

Delicious food & beautiful views! The fried green tomatoes were amazing!

everything about this place was delightful. My husband likes a bargain and he got it...great prices and huge servings. I love great food and nice decor. The serving dishes are pottery by local artisans, the bread is made there, the grain ground there. Service was efficient and the view into the garden/outdoor dining area spectacular. My chicken gumbo over corn grits made this Minnesotan over the top happy. The left overs were even better.

One of my favorite restaurants in the area - love to go there for Sunday brunch, actually, I like to go to Old Mill Pottery Cafe anytime! Food and service is superb.

Service Great! Food Great.. highly recommend (French Onion Soup, Fried Green Tomatoes, Buttermilk Chicken Melt, The Chicken Reuben) and a whole lot of other foods. Awesome , just awesome!

If you are staying in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area you have to check this place out. The food is fantastic. I haven't eaten inside only to go orders but I'm sure that the indoor decor is lovely. I would eat here every day if I didnt care about feeling like a blimp afterwards. The BLT with Fried Green Tomatos is a must try. You wont be let down, trust me!

Was really looking forward to checking out this place after reading wonderful reviews. But everything was over fried and greasy. Very disappointed. Service was good. I am glad we tried fried green tomato at 'bistro 109' which were divine!!

A+ Excellent Food and Dining experience. The price for appetizer, 2 adult meals and a split kids meal and Desert was 41.50 dollars. Not bad for such a nice tasty place to eat. The service was quality. The Deserts are made fresh daily by a local Baker and oh so good. Very Clean restrooms are always appreciated with my kids. Picturesque area close to good public transportation.

Always our favorite as the soups and salads are fresh and tasty. Less commercially prepared than the old mill across the street.

ate here first night in town. service was slow. long wait to get a table. food slightly above average. plenty of other places to try before we even think about going here again.

One of the best in pigeon forge. Lovely outdoor dining with a nice koi pond. Good Food, serving updated American food as opposed to the Oil Mill which servers up tradational southern food.

So, vacationing amidst the hot rod convention zombies (another topic), we walked up the ramp of the large, obvious 'Old Mill Restaurant' and promptly walked back down. Only to find an oasis of peace across the street. Rather than wait 35+ minutes for deep fried food, we were immediately seated on a lovely internal patio with prompt service. The atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. The food very good. The pickle chips excellent (if a bit salty). In short an excellent meal. We truly could not understand why anyone would wait across the street for mass produced food when this delightful and tasty gem is across from it.

My favorite restaurant in Gatlinburg by far. Their menu is fairly diverse and they make everything with quality. It's a beautiful little restaurant with really great artisan touches in both the food and decor. My mom got the chicken livers and loved them. My dad got the loaded potato soup and declared it "delicious," and this is coming from a selective eater. In addition to that, they delivered fresh sourdough bread with whipped butter to our table, and it was so flavorful and tasty that I could've just eaten that on its own. All in all, you really can't go wrong with any of their food or deserts, and most of the time the wait is shorter than the original Old Mill Restaurant.

This place is a Pigeon Forge gem! If I lived here, we would be here all the time. We sat outside on the patio and listened to the water and saw the 1-day old ducklings swimming around. The quiche was incredible, the fresh fruit was very fresh and tasted great, the bread was amazing, and the carrot cake...come on! Make sure to get them to warm the carrot cake for a few seconds. Over all, it was a GREAT experience. We'll be here every time we come to Pigeon Forge.

Our waitress, Janet, was absolutely amazing! She had perfect timing with our service. I was highly impressed with her customer service skills. Our food was delicious. Not the absolute best food I've eaten in my life, but it was very tasty. I had the grilled chicken rueben sandwich with fries and "come-back" sauce. My boyfriend had chicken tenders and the squash casserole. My father had some sort of cold-cut sandwich and the coconut creme pie. We all left with "happy bellies." The cafe itself is a cute place. Adorable courtyard when approaching and has a great view. We waited about 30 minutes to eat, but we went around 12 during the lunch rush hour. Our experience was great! I give this place 5 stars due to the service, location, cleanliness of cafe, and food. Overall, a great place to go eat! Don't go to fast-food places during vacation and don't pay big money for the "dinner shows" that cost $50 for nasty food.

  • Shelley P.

We stopped in for lunch. Service was excellent. My husband had the strawberry spinach salad and ate the entire plate. I ordered the club and it was excellent too. The cheddar cheese grits were flavorless.....that is the only reason for not giving 5 stars. We'll be back!

  • Kevin K.

We dined here with two other couples and had a great time. The food was excellent and the menu contained items not usually found. In fact I had one such dish - chicken livers with a side of cheese grits. (The cheese grits were the best I have ever had.) All of the food was quite good and the waiter was very attentive and a pleasure to deal with. The place is definitely worthy of a revisit.

Waiting for old mill and there $20 fried chicken ! Wait was for ever! Sooooo we snucked over to the cafe ! Food was great ! Best chicken in pigeon forge! Wait staff great love salad ! Pick up some homemade bread on the way home !

I got the French onion soup in a bread bowl, which was absolutely delicious. The rest of the people in my party loved everything they got as well. One of the Smokies hidden gems.

My wife and I stopped here on our hasty retreat from Gatlinburg. We had had a full long weekend, and this place offered a great set of reviews and an amazing menu. We did have to stop for a ~40 minute wait for a seat, but we were assured by locals that it was worth it. It was. I had the steak with jalapeno corn pudding, and it was amazing. My wife had a sandwich with chips, which were also really good. The best, though, was the peanut butter pie. We enjoyed it so much we bought another slice to take home with us on our four hour drive home!

This restaurant is my all time favorite place for lunch. If someone from out of town asks where's a great place for lunch or dinner, the Pottery House Cafe always comes to mind. With fresh baked breads, quiche and desserts as well as the best French onion soup in the county, you can't go wrong with any menu choices. The staff is always friendly, especially Andrea, and that's the best reason to eat there. If you want a great local experience, the Pottery House Cafe is the best!!

  • Trent W.

The cafe is much better than the Old Mil itself. Cozy outdoor seating is available. Soups and excellent sandwiches. I recommend the pimento cheese BLT made with fried green tomatoes. They grind their own flour, bake Thor own bread and even make their own plates. Nice shopping opportunities are nearby if you happen to have a wait.

  • Alexa M.

The food was really good, and we had a ton of leftovers. I got the soup and salad, and I also got fried green tomatoes. The only (small) problem was that it was a little crowded waiting for a table. Overall, very great. It was my families 3rd time going.

  • Ana B.

This place is great in appearance but that's about it. The food was way too salty for my taste! The service was kind, but I think this place caters more to the older population. I did like the pottery on display, but I didn't really like the food.

  • Dewayne J.

We love this place. Great food and good prices for a tourist area. Everything on the menu is very good. The kids loved it too and even loved the pimento cheese appetizer. Wow, that was good. Don't confuse this place with the original Old Mill Restaurant across the street. This is smaller and is where both restaurants get their breads. (This one has the fresh bakery.) If there's no parking place out front, don't worry, there's parking around back too. (which is easier than the congested front.) Its a great hidden gem.

Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are full of chain and mediocre restaurants. They're out to take your money without giving you something delicious in return, like many tourist trap towns. But not The Old Mill Pottery House Cafe & Grille. Not to be mistaken for the larger Old Mill Restaurant in the same area (called Old Mill Square), this place is a gem. There's an adorable courtyard as you walk up, and the smell of fresh-baked bread is irresistible. We were seated right away even on 4th of July weekend. (The trick is to eat lunch around 3pm, apparently!) We were given fresh bread to start, which was obviously tasty. The Old Mill grinds its own grains and bakes its bread from scratch. That is a win-win. The whole area has a lot of black bear-themed stuff, so we loved the cute bear pottery on our tables, to include our giant salt and pepper shakers. For my meal, I chose the quiche and soup combo, specifically a Quiche Lorraine and the tomato basil soup in a breadbowl. SO MUCH FOOD! The quiche was warm and perfect, accompanied by a slice of raisin bread and some fruit. The soup was very good as well, but the bread bowl was insanely yummy! I even shared with everyone else given I had way too much food. It was clear the sourdough was made on the premises with the outside toasted to perfection. I also stopped by the nearby General Store afterwards to get some white bread flour and biscuit mix. I would definitely come back to this place on another family trip in this crazy little area of Tennessee.

We tried this restaurant due to the excellent reviews and we are due glad we did. There was a group of 8 of us from CT, and we all enjoyed it. The baked potato soup, French onion soup, chicken tenders - pain and buffalo, homemade bread and the rest of our food was awesome. Highly recommend it!

We are locals who moved away for the military and came home for the fourth weekend. This place is AMAZING. I had shrimp and grits, they were the best I ever had hands down. My wife had the lunch combo with half a triple decker club and the tomato soup. The tomato soup was the star of an already amazing lunch. I would recommend this to anyone who is breathing. They grind their own grains to make bread. All of their plates are handmade next door. Just overall a great experience.

The staff was wonderful! The menu had something for everyone. The house made bread was delicious! We left after lunch and found ourselves back there a couple of hours later for coffee and dessert. The peanut butter pie was the best thing I tasted all week! I may go back again before out vacation is over.

Got seated right away, food was great and portions were generous, price was great for what you get! We were right to check this place out be recommendation of a local. Always ask a local what they think of the best local restaurants!

We had a very good dinner. The smokehouse burger was excellent. The kids chicken fingers and honey mustard was great. The free bread brought to the table was great. Service friendly. Would go back.

We wanted to try and grab a quick lunch - sad we couldn't get in and out in the Old Mill Restaurant so we decided to walk over to this instead. We were not disappointed. Service: We were seated instantly when we walked in. Our waitress was quick to our needs and very friendly. Not a bad thing about it. Food: We ordered a half dozen order of oysters and a half sandwich and soup combo and decided to split it (early lunch and late breakfast means less room for food boys and girls.) Our portions were much larger than anticipated. Our half sandwich looked like an entire sandwich. Needless to say we were overly happy with it other than the fact that it was much more than we could eat. The oysters were not the best in the world. I can say they were better than the ones served at Hooters but not much better than that. Overall: If you're wanting a quick bite to eat so you can go about your day I would recommend this place.

Came here for lunch on the first day of our weekend trip to Pigeon Forge. Ate her just before leaving to go back home. Their club sandwich with house chips is amazing. Great service and nice atmosphere. If it's a nice day, eat outside!

  • James D.

Amazing food, and our waitress was phenomenal! The food is incredibly filling, and there's more than enough to take away for later. They were incredibly accommodating, and even replaced our child's food for free because she wasn't happy with it. If Jennifer is there, definitely ask for her as your server!

    (5)
  • Mike T.

Wow, this place is great every time. No matter what time of day you go, the food is great, the waitresses are nice and it is clean. The strawberry spinach salad and tomato soup combo is my favorite but everything I have ordered here is delicious! We eat here at least one meal a day almost every day we are in Pigeon Forge which is not often enough!

Best place to get breakfast! I suggest to avoid the fried catfish, it has a murky taste to it

The food is great. We like the quiche, chicken salad, bread and spinach salad. The service is usually good but can be slow at times. It's nice to sit on the patio during mild weather and enjoy the babbling brook and garden. This is one of our go to places in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area.

We enjoyed our four day, spring break vacation in the beautiful Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. On Day one we tried Old Mill Pottery Cafe; we went to the The Old Mill Restaurant 1st (tried it on our last night there. Check out my review for that one) it was a bit crowded but not too bad, but we decided that we did not want to wait and opted for the cafe instead because they had no waits. The food was was very good! The lemonade was the best I've ever had! I think the lemonade changes and is not the same each time (Booo; thumbs down), but I guess we were there on the right day for the best-tasting lemonade. My husband and children had sweet tea but changed their drinks to lemonade after tasting it. Anyhow, I had the Philly cheesesteak hoagie. It was good but I can't say that it was the best I've ever had; just very good. The steak was thinly-shaved how I like it. The sandwich had onions, peppers, mushrooms, and of course cheese on a delicious freshly baked hoagie roll. Which reminds me-they bring out a loaf of freshly-baked bread and homemade whipped butter to every table. It is very good bread and butter. My husband had their pecan praline pork chops which looked delicious! His side was a baked potato. He really enjoyed his meal! The pork chop were regular cut, not the thick cut chops, just how we like them. I did not taste his meal, but he says that he would describe the taste as a sweet meets salty dish. We all know that these two tastes always compliment each other. My 7 y/o daughter had a chicken tender kids meal with fries. They were very good chicken tenders. Not too big. Not fatty. Perfectly fried. My 15 y/o daughter had fried catfish and fries. It was ok catfish but too "corn-mealy" to my liking. The steak-cut fries were excellent. My 17 y/o, grits-loving son had shrimp and grits. The grits were creamy, and the shrimp were plentiful. There was some type of gravy, along with peppers and onions in the grits too. He tore it up and loved it! But, hey, he is a 17 year old boy. :) My chocolate lover daughter had a slice of choc. cake. I tasted a bite and it was delicious! We actually went back for more before leaving the area and bought some slices to take home to relatives and my baby girl wanted another slice to go also. :) It's very good cake. On our original visit, the chocolate pecan pie was my dessert of choice. I had it to go and enjoyed it later on that night at our cabin. It was good, but having this made me realize that I prefer my pecan pie without chocolate. The atmosphere was quaint and small but not too squished. You did not feel like you were sharing your space. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. The outdoor setting was very pretty. Lots of gardens and little streams of water. There is an option to dine outdoors if you wish to soak in the scenery. The Old Mill district is a beautiful place.

Okay so my review was going to be 5 star but something happen after we walked out the restaurant that was a complete turn off. Let's start from the beginning i personally thought the service was okay. No one in this town really likes to smile however the food was off the hook delicious. So i told my husband not to charge the meal but to pay with cash of course when he went up there he accidentally paid it with his card. He walked back to me with every intention of telling me to put the tip on the table but we got into another conversation and he forgot to mention it. He and i walked out and was walking around the strip when the waitress walks up to us and goes "did i do something to hurt your feelings " he and i had the most confused look on our face amd she goes on to say you guys didn't leave me a tip. My husband being the gentleman that he is was super apologetic but me being the stubborn one just looked at her like are you for real??? Like you really went out of your way to chase us down for a tip? I'm not gonna lie i wonder if she would have done that if our skin tone was less pigmented? ? We were the only people in that whole place with a tan. Needless to say kudos to the chef but the staff including the manager who refused to make eye contact or smile at us ....deserve no stars and no tips.

Food was great. The chopped steak was yum and the soup of the day (chicken and almond) was surprisingly hearty. Too bad the atmosphere wasn't as friendly. It was not fun being stared at the whole time due to not being Caucasian. That statement had a reoccurring theme in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for a weekend (Yup! Racism lives there.. especially with the screams of "Go back to where you came from!" still ringing in my head.)

Hands down, the best food I had the entire time I was up in the Smokeys. Everything was fresh and tasted organic! Had their quiche and it was SO GOOD!!!!!!!!! I've never looked at quiche the same way again, honestly. Sat outside and the view was so beautiful. Service was awesome but seriously, the food!!!!! The bread!!!!! And their strawberry salad was something to write home about. Go there and you won't be disappointed. Plus the portions for the price- can't be beat. My lunch only cost me $8.99 and I actually took half of it home. And I have a big appetite!

Great food, service & prices, however, avoid the French onion soup, - well made but very bland. Have tried it several times, complained, but to no avail. Absolutely no taste at all.

Great stop for lunch. Best meal we had while in the area. While all of our meals were delicious we especially liked the homemade pimento cheese and fresh bread. No wait, seated immediately. Prompt and friendly wait staff.

This is such a lovely place to visit! I loved the setting outdoors especially! Before coming here, a group of us visited the pottery place, just next door. The pottery all on display were so tempting to purchase! Lovely pieces and one can find some very affordable ones especially by the cashier. I did end up buying a beautiful jar of sorts with a lid. It was pretty huge of a size too, for just about 26 $ or so! Coming to the lunch I had at Old Mill, it was wonderful! I ordered the chicken and almond quiche with the strawberry spinach salad. The quiche was very good but I was mostly in awe with the salad! So good!

The dinner hour in Pigeon Forge starts early. Like 4:30. We know that now. We got to the Old Mill restaurant about 5:45 and were told it would be a 90-minute wait. What is it like by 7 we wondered? Anyhow, we walked across the street to the smaller Old Mill Cafe & Grill which surprisingly had no line at all (although by the time we finished it was crowded) and were seated immediately. About ten minutes after that, our server made her first appearance. We cleverly picked up the signals that we should order right away since it was looking like a long night. And it was, though the server's attention improved noticeably and wasn't the cause. No, the big problem was the quality of the food, or rather the lack thereof. We didn't a single dish that was completely satisfying. The French onion soup had the taste of canned soup. The chicken reuben sandwich -- a clever idea -- had minced chicken meat that tasted ... well, like nothing we could easily identify. The salad was mostly iceberg lettuce. The pimento cheese bowl could have used a little more peppery taste but was pretty good; it came with five small pieces of celery. the restaurant is proud of its homemade bread, and the sourdough was indeed worthy bread of substance. But it wasn't enough to convince us this place rates more than two stars.

Great stop for lunch. Mini wedge salad was top notch. French onion soup was perfect on a cold day. Everyone in my family really enjoyed their meals. Bread was some of the best I've had.

Tried this place on a recent visit to Gatlinburg based on all the great reviews. Went their on a Sunday night maybe an hour before close. But the service was bad waitress didn't bring over any bread even after we asked twice! A substituted a baked potatoe for the jalapeño corn bread pudding and she forgot to bring it an instead brought the pudding! The food part was decent Fried green tomatoes were excellent I had the catfish dinner, not good at all small portion of fish that was flavorless. It was like eating fried cornmeal strips My girlfriend had the pulled pork and it was really good and the portion was generous. Kinda sad I didn't get a good experience here but I would try again.

I always hit this place up every single time I am in town. Their bread is unbelieable and their pie is heavenly. Oh yeah, do yourself a favor and eat outside if you can. It's beautiful.

We arrived at 5:15 and were seated by 5:35 for a party of 2. They said it would be 20 minutes and it was exactly 20 minutes. It got more busy as the night wore on. When we left at 6:30 they were saying 45 minutes. I had fried catfish. It was tasty. The corn chowder side was not my favorite. Luke warm corn mush with a jalapeño kick. I'll pass next time. My wife had the ham and Swiss quiche and loved it. The salads were tasty as well. Waitress was terrific. We will visit again. Best we've had in this area.

Very cool location. Right across the street from the water mill. This was the home of a potter and my sister-in-law said that all the dinner ware was from his kiln. They really were nice. I acted like I wanted to swipe one. I had the club. It was a very good club with incredible vidalia onion spread, FRESH bread!, good bacon and home made chips. I really enjoyed it. The whole family enjoyed their meals as well - unfortunately, can't remember what they had. The staff was good and prompt. It was a nice place and almost a bit up-scale which floors me as a bit out of sync with the whole Pigeon Forge vibe. As with most places in this tourist town - eat early! No one cooks at their rooms so they all get mobbed. Definitely try some of the pies as well. I had a superb pecan pie.

I don't know why we bother eating anywhere else, when we visit the area. This restaurant never disappoints my family. Take my word, you will not be disappointed with the atmosphere, service or food. We have been customers more than ten years. There is something magical here.

Been to Pigeon Forge many times. Always stop here for lunch. It's always a fantastic meal. I typically get the quiche and strawberry salad. SO good. This place never disappoints.

Thanks for all the good reviews. Our dinner was fabulous. Bring a big appetite. The all inclusive meal price takes you from incredible fritters with maple butter to salad and soup, entree and desert. My chicken and dumplings were wonderful but the pecan pie was just as good as my grandmother made. My husband loved the chicken pot pie. Thank goodness we have nothing like this back home. It is far to good.

We had dinner here tonight. Beautiful patio, friendly, great server. More importantly the food was great! Fried green tomatoes (need bigger portions- they only gave 4 slices and tasted incredible.) Soup and bread were all A+. Kids' chicken strips were great. Catfish was very good. I'd go back for sure.

We love coming to this restaurant when in Pigeon Forge. Love the specials (soup and sandwich) meals. Price is right, especially for us "older" folks. Saw a lot of families with children, so it seems people of all ages can enjoy it here.

  • Will G.

By far the best meal of our entire trip... Fried green tomatoes... Shrimp and grits and my wife ordered a buttermilk chicken melt that had enough food that we'll eat three times off of it. (Well maybe not that much.) Our waitress, Alexis, was busy but went above and beyond to take care of us... I can't say enough good things.

Husband and I had a pleasant time. I just had a salad, but it was huge and fresh (yeah, I ate salads for most of this trip :( ). We sat in front of the big picture window and enjoyed watching the foot traffic. I did try the bread and WOW, it was good. Loved the dinnerware, hand crafted! Husband enjoyed his meal.

Outdoor dining was fantastic! We ordered crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, catfish, and the pulled pork. Everything was so fresh and delicious. This must be the best restaurant in Pigeon Forge.

Our favorite place to eat when we come to PF. Everything we've ever gotten has been good, and the atmosphere & service are great. You can't go wrong here....no matter what you order.

Some of the best sandwiches and home style soup in the Smokies. The atmosphere is wonderful and when the weather is right the outdoor dining is unbeatable. Try the Pimento Cheese sandwich on olive loaf and the white chicken chili, you won't regret it.

Drove in for a family reunion, met family at this place. Waitress and staff were very nice. That night we all got food poisoning, we called to let them know, and they could've cared less. We ended up getting a call from their insurance company asking us if we were going to pursue this further, emphasis on the "sue" part. Never offered to comp us the bill, which was almost 200 bucks, never called me back. My wife spoke to someone there recently, still no credit. Even after food poisoning was authenticated by a doctor the next day, we all drove in from different areas too, so it was the only common meal we ate together. We went there because of its reputation, I will amend my review if they offer restitution, but heads up right now, I would not go back.

Had late lunch there Saturday. The chicken and almond soup was delicious. The service was OK. The Smoky Mountain Cheesesteak was very disappointing. Virtually no flavor and the steak was tough enough for boot soles. Beautiful setting and I wish I could use their gardener for a weekend.

What a fun place to visit and take a break for food!? Loved the atmosphere and the view we had during our dining visit. We were seated by the courtyard and really just wanted a nice place to rest our feet and grab a snack. So glad we stopped here! We ordered the fried green tomatoes and shared the grilled sesame chicken salad. VERY good!! Definitely will stop by again when we're passing through.

Went here last night for dinner. The food was absolutely awesome. For the price, the portions are good sized, especially the sandwiches. The fresh in-house bread was delicious. We were there at 5:30 and got a dinner table with zero wait. We did notice it pickup a bit, but there never was a huge wait. Highly recommended. This will be a mandatory stop on future trips. After dinner we walked around & enjoyed the shops. It's nice that public restrooms are available at the trolley station.

The food is quite bland, but the service was nice.

Loved this restaurant! Used Yelp to find each place we ate while on a short vacation to Pigeon Forge. I batted 1000 with the three finds, but this place was the best. Great food, good choices for kids' meals, southern hospitality service. Every place to eat in a tourist trap like Pigeon Forge will be busy, especially if it's good. The wait was a little long and we went early, but it was worth it.

My husband and I decided to eat here based on reviews and we were SOOOO glad we did!!! Service was great and the food was better than awesome!! We started with the Fiesta fried green tomatoes. Do yourself a favor and order them. I had their Garden salad with ham and turkey and my husband had the roasted chicken reuben. Both were wonderful. We will definetly return

First off, the dining experience itself. Got the fried green tomatoes, they were not good. We ate 2 out of the 6 and couldn't stomach any more. The server offered to take them away for us, not even asking if there was something wrong with them. I figured it was either a lack of intuitiveness or she simply didn't care whether they were good or not (the rest of the meal proved it to be the latter). Both my fiancee and I got cheese steaks and fries. The cheese steaks were okay; I gotta give it to them, the bread was delicious. But the sandwich itself was virtually flavorless. The fries were of the frozen variety, not seasoned and mushy. I was pretty surprised by lack of quality in the food taking into consideration the rave reviews that were given on this website, which I researched prior to us deciding on eating at this place. With tip we paid almost $40 for lunch, and it definitely wasn't even worth $20. The server never even asked how the meal was, so maybe that's why it's not making it back to the cooks that their food tastes bland and is not satisfying. The real kicker came later that evening when I began vomiting and came down with the worst stomach cramping that I have ever had. We didn't eat anything else that day besides a bagel. From a previous review I just read below from February, it looks like someone else came down with the same fate, and that the restaurant was only concerned if they were going to sue. Great customer relations.

Thank goodness for Yelp! My boyfriend & I stayed in a cabin for a few days in Seiverville, and the strip along Pigeon Forge didnt look like it had a lot to offer in the way of tasty restaurants. I found Old Mill Pottery House on Yelp and it did not disappoint! They serve American food and do it very well. I'm sure it's not healthy, but hey, it was vacation so I chowed down :) Will definitely go back next time we're in town.

We tried for the second night in a row to eat at the "big" restaurant but each time, 90 minute wait. My mother in law over heard a conversation about how great this place was....so we walked over. Very happy we did. The pork loin with maple topping was fantastic! She ordered a chicken fruit salad and it was so fresh and yummy. The bakery bread the give with the meal so incredible. After we took home some pie and it too, was pretty darn good. Prices were very moderate.....$50 for 4 people, including drinks. Not bad!

Big fan of the spinach quiche and very happy to see pineapple and grapes as the fruit instead of cantaloupe and melon. And the garden was beautiful and quaint.

Walking around Pigeon Forge, trying to dodge the ubiquitous tourist traps, I stumbled along and found this place. I didn't bother checking yelp, I trusted my Spidey Sense instead and gave it a whirl. Chose to sit outside. The patio was lovely on a sunny Spring day. The coffee was OK, 3/5. The asparagus quiche was slightly runny (guessing the added moisture from the asparagus was the culprit) but it was tasty, 4/5. The mushroom soup had great flavor, but it was a mix of regular caps and shiitakes and they left the stem on the shiitakes, so I was treated to bits and pieces of mushroom flavored leather, 3/5. The fried green tomato BLT was freaking epic, probably the best BLT I've ever had. It came on good bread, with really thick peppery, smokey, and sweet bacon on it, good fried green tomatoes, lettuce, and guacamole mayonnaise to tie it all together, 5/5. If you're in the area, a solid place for lunch all the way around, and their prices were pretty good, especially considering I was surrounded by crappy tourist traps.

Great food and great atmosphere, I had shrimp and grits, a very good choice. Service was a little spotty but I still give it. Five Stars. Don't confuse it with the Old Mill a tourist trap across the street. This place is A++

Neat place. Good atmosphere and service. Ample parking behind the restaurant. Our entrees were fantastic, but the homemade chips left a great deal to be desired. Very reasonable prices. We will definitely visit again on our next trip.

Great place to eat in an area full of over crowded tourist traps, I have ate here a few times and have been satisfied with the food and service every time. My only criticism and the reason I can't give it five stars is they fall a little short in food preparation such as leaving the tails on shrimp that are cooked in soup or sauce like the shrimp and grits, therefore what should have been a great dish becomes mediocre.

Only stopped in for some beers and ended up getting some fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes were solid and the sauce that came with was pretty darn good. Service was solid but the place was full of older people and families which made for funny people watching.

An excellent place to eat in Pigeon Forge if you want something that is not a franchise. I've eaten here for lunch several times. I love the chicken sandwich and the pasta salad. They also have a great strawberry spinach salad.
